| Australia Welcomes Cambodia Counter-Terrorism Law Attorney-General

Law on Counter-Terrorism was drafted with the assistance of the Australian Government
“Australia’s assistance on this project demonstrates Australia’s
strong commitment to supporting regional security and the implementation of United
Nations instruments,” said Foreign Minister Mr Alexander Downer. Cambodia’s Senate approved the Law on Counter Terrorism on 10 July 2007, after it passed through Cambodia’s National Assembly on 26 June 2007. The Law will now be provided to His Majesty the King for his approval before coming into force.
