Deputy Prime Minister Meets Cambodian Diplomats

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H.E Mr. Hor Namhong met with Cambodian Ambassadors and Consuls General to foreign countries in a gathering held at the ministry on 03 June 2008.

H.E Deputy Prime Minister told the participants that the meeting was held, the purpose of which, he said, was to listen to reports presented by Cambodian diplomat officials on progress in the diplomatic relationship with foreign countries in conformity with the implementation of the Royal Government’s the rectangular strategy policy

He also urged the Cambodian diplomat officials to do their utmost to implement the Royal Government’s diplomatic policy, in which he said the top priority was to draw the foreign investment to be placed in the country, seek humanitarian aid and assistance, and mobilize the friendly countries to provide scholarship for Cambodian human resources training.


In the meantime, 32 pieces of Preah Ang Kok Thlok (God) artifact, made of sandstone, produced by Cambodian artists of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, with a fund provided by Prime Minister Samdech Akkak Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, were given to the Cambodian Ambassadors and Consuls General so as to keep at Cambodian embassies overseas with the purpose of being known about the Cambodian history, mainly Cambodian culture and custom.

In the legend, Preah Ang Kok Thlok (God) is a founder of Cambodian homeland.
