Royal Cambodian Armed Force Officers Depart For Sudan


The Royal Government of Cambodia has sent 15 military officers to Sudan to contribute in United Nations’ peace mission together with more than 50 other countries.

Prior to their departure at Phnom Penh International Airport on June 2, H.E. Prak Sokhon,Secretary of State at the Office

of the Council of Ministers and chairman of the National Committee for the Coordination of Sending Troops to UN Peace Mission, recommended the officers to try their best in successfully accomplishing the historical mission as well as to strictly carrying out their discipline and morality.

Since 2006, with the request of the United Nations, the Royal Government of Cambodia has sent two de-mining contingents to Sudan with one year-mission each.
