Visit to Australia by Chief Commander of Army, Royal Cambodia Armed Force

At the invitation of the Department of Defence of Australia , the Cambodia Delegation leaded by H. E. General Meas Sophea Deputy Chief Commander of Army of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces paid a visit to Australia from 20-24 September 2005.

The aim of visit is to attend the Chief of Army Conference in Canberra, which focused on security in the region.

During his stay in Canberra, he paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Peter Leahy AO Chief of Army of Australia and visited Peace Keeping Centre and Australia Defence Force Warfare Centre in Newcastle.

The two sides discussed ways on how to further strengthen cooperation between Royal Cambodia Armed Force and the Australia Defence Force.
