This is an independent informational website about the Royal Embassy of Cambodia to Australia and New Zealand. It is not the official embassy, and is not operated by the Government of Cambodia, the Government of New Zealand, or any consular office.

Our mission

Embassy of Cambodia — New Zealand Information exists for one reason: to make practical, accurate information about the Kingdom of Cambodia easier to find for people based in Aotearoa New Zealand. That includes travellers planning a holiday, students considering exchanges, businesses exploring trade, and journalists looking for background. We try to keep the answers in one place so readers do not have to hunt through scattered government pages.

The official Royal Embassy of Cambodia, based in Canberra, serves New Zealand from Australia. There is no resident Cambodian embassy in New Zealand at the time of writing. That gap is part of why this reference site exists.

What we publish

The site collects three kinds of content. The first is reference material about Cambodia — geography, public holidays, the role of the King, visa rules and so on. The second is news coverage drawn from our News section, with short briefings on government, regional affairs and travel-relevant developments. The third is practical guidance for New Zealand-based readers who want to engage with Cambodia in some way, including how to contact the real embassy.

We do not issue visas. We do not authenticate documents. We do not represent any government. When a question requires official action, we point readers to the official Royal Embassy of Cambodia website and the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade listing.

How we work

Articles are checked against published sources. Where possible, the date and the source of a figure are given in the body of the article. Information about visas, fees and entry requirements changes regularly; readers should treat anything time-sensitive on this site as a starting point, not the final word. The official embassy is always the authoritative source.

Corrections matter to us. If you spot something inaccurate — particularly a name, a phone number, an address or a date — please send a note through our editorial contact and we will look at it.

Who we are

This site is run by a small editorial team based in New Zealand. We have no political affiliation and no commercial relationship with the Government of Cambodia, the Government of New Zealand or any other state body. The site is funded independently.
